Hello everyone, and welcome to another AWESOME Work-out Wednesday! We are definitely seeing a trend here with Operation Pink Herring being in the lead! OPH has 495 minutes this week, but she is NOT in the lead for the month… Who is creeping up behind her?
Kassie is in 2nd place for this week with 425 minutes and Heather is in 3rd with 395 minutes.
Now for the embarrassing part of this entry… I have 30 minutes from this week. I am lame. I think this might be a repeat question, but PLEASE tell me what ya’ll do to keep yourselves motivated! How do you make time for exercise when you feel overwhelmed with other things?
The other two organizers, Audrey and Anna have been doing much better than me, although you are all kicking our butts! Anna came in this week with 150 minutes and Audrey had 215.
I am presenting our numbers this week to let you know that even if you are nowhere near OPH, you are definitely doing better than me! In all honesty, most of you are doing better than any of us! WAY TO GO EVERYONE!
I went skiing twice last week. Monday- President’s day and Saturday night. Those minutes add up fast when you’re on the slopes for hours.
The gym however doesn’t motivate me. I whine and cry about it everytime I’m on my way there. I always feel better afterward.. but in all honestly I hate it. I do like swimming laps at the gym but unfortunately the gym nearest me doesn’t have a pool and if I want to swim to enjoy my workout I have to go pretty out of my way. I do it every now and again but that certainly makes it tough.
Dancing! Dance dance dance, I take at least three lessons a week and then go dancing every Friday, I absolutely adore it, and by the time I dance for an hour and a half I am a sweaty, happy mess.
I keep motivated by talking to people about my progess. I call my best friend every other day to make sure she is working out. On the other days, she calls me..I know it’s only a phone call, but having to actually admit that you HAVEN’T worked out when the other person did sucks!
For example–yesterday, I only got about a 25 minute slow walk in. When she called me to tell me how she did, she had done MUCH better, an HOUR of cardio. So when I got home (at 9:15 pm!) I got on my exercise ball, pressed play on the DVR and worked out for another 40 minutes. It really helps keep me going. Plus, I have her wedding coming up and I am determined to not look bad so that’s my motivation as well.
So, hopefully, you can find an “accountabilibuddy” that you can call about your progress? Good luck! And remember, there’s always tomorrow. If you had a crappy work out week, increase it this week! : )
I love “accountabilibuddy”. That’s so cute! I’m going to find one!!!
